Raising Resilient Children

Helping your child become a resilient person is one of the most important goals you can have as a parent.

Course Details

Helping your child become a resilient person is one of the most important goals you can have as a parent. Growing their skills of resilience will not only help them navigate through childhood and young adulthood, but also protect them from negative consequences of life adversities and allow them to bounce back from them or even grow as a result of them. Resilience is a skill that can be taught at any time in life. Teaching your child resilience will set them up for future success.

Date:     14th October 2017
Time:    10am-5pm
Venue:
High Park Campus, Drumcondra, Grace Park Road, Drumcondra,Dublin 9

During this workshop, participants will find out:

  • -          The latest research on resilience and how to use it every day with your child to build their skills of resilience
  • -          A list of activities you can use with your primary school and secondary school children to boost their resilience and prevent them from experiencing mental health issues
  • -          What you can do to build your own resilience. After all, resilient parents can help their children become more resilient

You will also discuss some of the myths of resilience, such as that self-esteem helps our kids become more resilient. The workshop will provide you with evidence that will help you make your own, informed-decision as to whether your child is indeed resilient, and what you can do to boost their resilience further. It is a must-attend workshop for any parents.

What our Students Say

“My experience with PCI was the best decision in my life, I would rate PCI 10. I'm not saying it was easy, especially starting a new career at the age of 50, but I got through with a lot of hard work and dedication. Liam McCarthy and Josephine Murphy were an inspiration and all the other Tutors I had during the four years. Since I got my Degree I have been so busy counselling, only last week I was offered another new job, its amazing. Next year I will be 70 and hopefully the work will continue.”
